Natural AHA Treatment
Combine 1 teaspoon of calcium ascorbate (Vitamin C) powder with our aloe vera moisturiser to form a paste. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice may also be added for extra zest. Paint onto the face using a facial brush and leave for 5-10 minutes. The face may tingle or burn slightly for 1-2 minutes this is also known as a spike. Rinse thoroughly with cool water after use.
As Vitamin C oxidises when exposed to moisture the above recipe should be prepared just prior to treatment. The Vitamin C will only remain active and stable for 24 hours so it is best to use immediately. It may be kept refrigerated during this time to prolong active ingredients.
This relaxing treatment can be temperature controlled. Beneficial essential oils can be added to the water.
Vascular conditions, claustrophobia. Check for skin reddening; never use towels that are too hot.
Acupressure Facial Treatment
By stimulating the acupressure points the facial muscles relax and lipid production increases aiding skin respiration. Points may be located with the fingertips and can be by identified as a slight indent beneath the facial tissue. The points will be sensitive when pressure is applied. Use a firm circular motion as you press.
There are approximately 29 points on the face and neck. As the majority of points are duplicated on either side of the face, two points can be stimulated simultaneously. The whole procedure should take less than three minutes.
